Some time ago, the creative team at Camus reached out to involve me in bringing their vision for an exceptional piece to life. My first task was to give volume and presence to the octopus originally drawn by Isabelle Collignon.

The initial version was crafted in transparent resin, already a considerable challenge. But the Camus team wanted to take the creation even further, elevating it into a work of greater nobility by transforming it into a crystal sculpture.
This is when the Daum crystal manufactory joined the journey, bringing their renowned expertise in producing extraordinary crystal pieces.

As the octopus could not be created as a single crystal form, we returned to the design stage to develop a composition combining bronze and crystal.
After numerous artistic and technical exchanges with the teams at Camus and Daum, this exceptional piece finally came to life.

My thanks go to the teams at Camus and Daum for giving me the opportunity to be part of this adventure, and to Jair Sfez at Maison Montcalm who captured the final result so beautifully in the images and videos below.
